My role: Product designer
My responsibility is to redesign the KYC process to increase the completion rate.
We also overhauled our KYC flow. Now, we let the user know right away what they can expect through the process. Each step only shows one thing at a time. This reduces our user's cognitive load and makes them feel less threatened. The new designs adopt a more conversational tone to guide users through the process.
We've included a lot of conditionals in our flow to help ensure that only eligible users are shown relevant information. For example, users under 18 will be shown an early exit that makes it clear they are not qualified.
